At Nala's we are thrilled to announce the adoption of one of our long timers who is finally home! Olive is an amazing story, rescued at a year old from Okeechobee Animal Control, Olive had lost hope because she was heartworm positive and sitting for months in a very overcrowded county shelter. Nala's became aware of her situation and rescued her, paid for her heartworm treatment and started helping Olive learn how to be a dog. Thru the love and dedication of our awesome volunteers, Olive quickly became a favorite of everyone. Her loving personality and true love of life, Olive was known for going on long walks with her "baby" in her mouth. People driving would stop to admire Olive's zelle for life. About 3 years ago, Abigail started fostering Olive in between her work schedule which sometimes caused her to be gone for months but even when she brought her back to the ranch, Olive was never depressed and never gave up that Abigail would someday return for her. Olive's dream came true when Abigail and her boyfriend Victor decided they could not live without Olive and changed their lives accordingly to make Olive part of their family. They have taken Olive on vacation to Kentucky and the Keys and she now has her forever home at 6 years old. We are so thankful to Abigail and Victor for welcoming Olive into their family and wish them many years of happiness with her. We love you Olive!
