On this Thanksgiving Day, Nala's has a special post to follow up on the adoption of 2 very special dogs. On Valentines Day, 2024, Nala's received an urgent call about a very pregnant mom in serious trouble in Okeechobee. Upon arriving at All Creatures Animal Hospital, this brave mom named Nita needed an emergency C Section to try to save her and her puppies' lives. Sadly despite all efforts, only 3 puppies and Nita survived and 2 of the puppies were born blind. These 2 tiny puppies needed weeks of tube feedings and thankfully Madison, a compassionate vet tech at All Creatures who currently has a dog adopted from Nala's, offered to try. Despite numerous setbacks, these beautiful souls both made it, They truly are miracle dogs and Madison adopted the female Andarna (pictured on left). The male, Scooter, was in a foster home with Sandra and when Madison decided Andarna needed a playmate her size, Scooter made himself right at home with her and her wonderful family. It truly took a village of caring people to save these puppies and it took a miracle to find a home for them together where they are so loved. The other puppy, Lennon was adopted by Jennifer and is doing well and mom Nita is still in a foster home with Sandra and waiting and hoping for her own forever home.
