Congratulations to Luke (formerly Toby) on his adoption! This handsome boy was rescued from Okeechobee Animal Control by Nalas after he could not go on transport because he was heartworm positive. The heartworm positive dogs at a rural shelter like Okeechobee have very few options to be rescued so Nala's specializes in these "forgotten" dogs. They cannot go on transport, need expensive treatment and months of follow up. With the help of our wonderful supporters and All Creatures Animal Hospital, Nala's is able to rescue these dogs, complete their treatment and adopt them out. This is the case for Luke who thanks to Blakely, Traver and their family is now in his forever home. We wish Luke and his new family many years of fun and happiness.
